A block of the Ijeh police barracks, Obalende was gutted by fire at about 4:45 am this morning.A total of 24 rooms were consumed by the inferno.

Properties worth millions were lost and the fire was put out when fire service trucks from sari-iganmu and Onikan arrived at the scene. See another pic below.....

News just reaching us now indicates that a fire outbreak has occurred at Murtala Muhammed airport,

An eyewitness said the fire emanated from some cables, which apparently melted under heat.

This led to a blackout in the airport terminal, while fire fighters deployed swiftly in the affected area to quench the inferno.

The fire fighters were able to put the situation under control while security men erected a metal barricade around the site.
