Libyan prime minister, Ali Zeidan has been kidnapped by armed rebels from a hotel in Tripoli early thursday October 10th.

The sad news which was broken by his spokeswoman was confirmed by CNN. Zeidan was abducted by a former rebel group over national security and corruption. This is also coming after the libyan government allowed the United States to capture top al-Qaeda suspect Abu Anas al-Liby in Tripoli last weekend.
He was seized from a hotel where he was staying in the Libyan capital and taken to an unknown location. A hotel clerk who was not authorized to speak to the media said armed rebels escorted the prime minister from the Corinthian Hotel in Tripoli into a convoy of waiting cars.

However, the witness reported no gunfire during the incident, and said the gunmen was respectful and "caused no trouble."
