Soldier Kills danfo driver this morning at Obalende

Early this morning, A danfo driver was killed by a soldier who refused to pay his fare.This unfortunate event took place at Obalende, Lagos.

The danfo driver refused to move his bus until the soldier who was dressed in mufti paid his fare. An argument ensued and the two were involved in a scuffle. In the process, the soldier strangled the driver.

On noticing that the driver was dead, the soldier said to be from Dodan barracks tried to run but pedestrians and on-looked refused to let him go and demanded that he take the dead man to the hospital.

A policemen in the area quickly intervened on noticing that the soldier was about to be mobbed.he called some of his colleagues from the Kam Selem Police Divisional Headquarters, Moloney Street and four police patrol vehicles with policemen arrived the scene.

Some minutes later, some armed soldiers from Dodan Barracks also arrived the scene to prevent the soldier from being mobbed.
