Aero contractors releases statement on plane that had its door open mid flight

Aero Contractors has been under heat ever since an aircraft belonging to them made an emergency u-turn mid-air on Friday. The plane that had music star, 2face idibia on board was said to still have its door open mid flight.

The airline’s spokesperson, Simon Tumba, stated that the diversion was as a result of a sensor alarm noticed on the flight deck.

He, however, assured that the problem had been fixed, while the airline management awaits the approval of aviation authorities to continue the use of the aircraft.

The statement read,

Our flight AJ 2002 flying between Lagos and Douala this (Friday) afternoon had an air return as a result of a sensor alarm noticed by the flight crew in the flight deck.
Following strict safety standard procedure, our flight crew decided to abort the flight. The problem had been fixed and we are awaiting Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) approval to commence use of the aircraft.”
