ALUU 4 : Court begins trial of suspects

Ehen! Finally...The case has been opened and trial has fomally commenced.....i only pray Justice takes its proper course.

A Rivers state high court has commenced hearings into the brutal murder of 4 University of Portharcourt student by residents of Omuokiri,Aluu Community,Rivers state.

The victims, Ugonna Obuzor, Lloyd Toku Mike, Tekenah Elkanah and Chiadika Biringa were wrongly accused of stealing which prompted residents of the community to lynch them.

A total of 12 people suspects were rounded up, they include,Lawal Segun,former police Sergeant Lucky Orji, Ikechukwu Louis Amadi (aka Kapoon), David Chinasa Ogbada, Abiodun Yusuf, Joshua Ekpe, Abang Cyril and John Ayuwa,Alhaji Hassan Welewa, Okoghiroh Endurance, Ozioma Abajuo and Chigozie Evans Samuel.

Those standing trial are, Lawal Segun, A taxi driver who has admitted his statement contained in the police report, though saying that he made it under duress,former police Sergeant Lucky Orji, Ikechukwu Louis Amadi (aka Kapoon), David Chinasa Ogbada, Abiodun Yusuf, Joshua Ekpe, Abang Cyril and John Ayuwa.

Alhaji Hassan Welewa,Ozioma Abajuo,Okoghiroh Endurance,Chigozie Evans Samuel, were granted bail because their alleged offence of negligence to prevent felony, was bailable.
