Another Naija celebrity in hot soup for rape

This is barely 2 weeks after Fuji star, Obesere was arreested for the same offence, Now an actor is in pepper soup for allegedly having carnal knowledge of one of his daughter's friends in his home town Osogbo.

Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi in Nollywood was arrested by the Police and detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after the victim reported him.Daily Sun reports that Ogunjimi  had been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) of the state police command for further interrogation on the matter.

After medical experts examined the victim on the directives of the police, their report proved that Ogunjimi forcibly slept with the 22 year old girl (name withheld).Sources said the victim and her mother who was allegedly victimized out of her matrimonial home were living with Ogunjimi at his Osogbo residence and he was responsible for their upkeep until recently.it was gathered that the victim’s mother had left her with Ogunjimi in Osogbo and relocated to Lagos.

After the rape, the victim reported the incident to the police alongside some residents of the area.

A senior police officer at the Oke Bale Police Division where Ogunjimi was taken after his arrest revealed that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO),transferred the case to the SCID when due to pressure being mounted on him by influential people to release the suspect.

Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folashade Odoro who confirmed that the case had been reported to the police, also confirmed that the popular Yoruba actor was being detained at the SCID, Osogbo.
