Outgoing governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was conferred a chieftaincy title in Awka Yesterday, Saturday 15th of March.

Obi was crowned the Okwute of igboland  by The traditional ruler of Onitsha Kingdom, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, assisted by other prominent monarchs in Anambra like Igwe K. O Orizu of Nnewi, Igwe P. C. Ezenwa of Oba and Igwe Onwuneme of Ikenga.

The colorful ceremony took place at Ekwueme Square Awka  and it was witnessed by traditional rulers like Southeast Council of Traditional rulers, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya Attah of Igala, the Chairman, and Anambra   Governor elect, Chief Willie Obiano.
