This LASU students are not smiling at all!...The Protesting students and the student union, LASUSU besieged the office of Governor Fashola in Alausa, Ikeja yesterday. At about 3:00 pm, the students gathered and barricaded the entrance of the Gov's office entrance with 2 buses and some other vehicles.

They danced, sang and even set a traditional stove and cooked beans...all in front of Fashola's office. Some muslim students were even spotted saying their prayers in front of the building. Later that day, some police officers were deployed from Alausa police station and Area "F" to come and ensure no damage was done to the Government building.

Prior to this, the students held a protest on Tuesday, June 3rd on Ikeja along through to computer village then Oshodi. Trouble started when they got to Bolade, oshodi, police officers intercepted them and  started firing teargas and shooting sporadically in the air. 16 students were arrested, 10 hospitalized and 5 of the Student Union's vehicles were seized. This did not deter them as they gathered at the Gov's office yesterday. The students are protesting against the current charge of N197,000 and N350,000 respectively for medical students. As Usual i will always get you photos..so see them below...
