Police Spokes Person,Ngozi Braide in trouble

For regular readers of Police stories and criminal cases, Ngozi Braide shouldn't be an unfamiliar name to you..the police spokeswoman is currently under investigation for fighting a superior officer.

Ngozi was interrogated for fighting and attempting to stab a senior officer identified as Cynthia Ibeama.

The whole incident occurred on January 18 at the Lagos state police command, Both women had a disagreement about a car parking spot, because both of them wanted to park their cars on the same spot.

A heated argument broke out which later escalated to a fierce fight. Policemen intervened and separated both officers but Ms. Braide, who was still filled with bitterness,dashed to her car and emerged with a knife and threatened to kill Ibeama.

According to a police source,

"It was a big shame for a PPRO to fight. In this case she shows that she has no respect and she is not disciplined because she is a Deputy Superintendent of Police and the officer she fought with is her senior, a Chief Superintendent of Police. 

Ms Braide may be the PPRO but there is discipline and seniority in the Force and she should have respected the CSP; they fought to the extent that they tore their uniforms. Her breast was exposed and the policemen who had gathered had to cover her up. It was a show of shame and she even went to get a knife from her car to stab the CSP".

Ngozi was also involved in a scuffle with a P.M news reporter some time last week. This is quite shameful on Ngozi's part because she was just awarded a Junior Chambers International award for her "monumental leadership'' last week.
