Jailbird and former governor of Delta state , James Onanefe Ibori has lost a court appeal to reduce his 13 year jail sentence.

Presiding Judge, Antony Edwards-Stuart rejected the argument at the appeal hearing and said money laundering should attract close to the maximum 14-year sentence.

Ibori pleaded guilty to 10 charges of fraud and money-laundering in February 2012 and was sentenced to 13 years in prison.The disgraced governor allegedly embezzled 50 million pounds and according to a london court...the loot was used to acquire several foreign properties and a fleet of elegant cars.
