On that day, the 2 lovebirds were at different locations, Sumbo is said to be in the united states with her 2 children, who were there on holiday and she is expected to be back this week. Pastor David is in Nigeria, preparing for the usual sunday service that holds at Royalty christian centre, mulero,agege,lagos.
The actual reason the wedding did not hold was because many of Pastor Adeoye's church members kicked against the marriage to sumbo who is a choir leader of the church.

My source reveals that the 2 have been in a longtime relationship shortly after the death of the pastor's wife Mrs. Folake Adeoye in November 2011. It was not an open affair but those who were privy among church members did not support the relationship.
Late last year, Adeoye made his intentions to remarry known to his congregation and unveiled Sumbo as his choice. This did not go down well with some members who decided to quit the church.
The decline in the church membership caused pastor adeoye's spiritual father, Bishop David Abioye, the second-in-command to living faith General Overseer,Bishop David Oyedepo, to step in. He advised both parties to shelve the idea of marriage for now.
