High profile fraudster, Fred ajudua has been remanded in Prison custody by a Lagos high court. Ajudua who is on trial for defrauding two Dutch businessmen, Remy Cina and Pierre Vijgen, of $1.69 million between July 1999 and September 2000, was today, ordered to stay in Jail till June 24th,2013.
Ajudua's case has been adjourned severally on medical grounds but not until recently when the presiding judge, Justice Olubunmi Oyewole rejected further requests for adjournment.
Ajudua's lawyers pleaded today in court that their client be remanded in the EFCC detention facility but Oyewole rejected the plea and ordered that Ajudua be held in a public prison(kirikiri) till june 24th.
Ajudua is known to be the father and originator of the popular scam '419'.
