In line with it’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and placing its mark in improving the level of literacy in society particularly among kids, Jumia.com.ng, Nigeria’s no. 1 shopping destination recently partnered with the ‘1 Child, 1 Book’ an initiative of the Tosin Jegede Foundation to deliver free books to pupils of the Ojota Primary School in Lagos, Nigeria. Others in attendance were representatives of DHL and First City Monument Bank co-sponsors of the event. Also in attendance were representatives from the local government and state government. In pushing this initiative further, for any book bought on jumia.com a book is donated to the ‘1 Child, 1 Book’ for a kid who can’t afford one.
Say yes to child literacy.
