A unidentified man suspected to be in his late thirties stunned pedestrians and law enforcement agents in Ibadan when he attempted to commit suicide by jumping in front of a moving trailer in protest of the seizure of his motorcycle.
It all went down at Iyana Adeoyo, Ring Road area of Ibadan, The man's bike was impounded by officers of the Oyo state Commercial vehicle Registration unit because his papers were fake. He begged and pleaded with the officers emphasizing that he did not know that the papers were fake.
When he noticed that his pleas fell on deaf ears, he went into a frenzy, ran towards an oncoming trailer and flung himself in front of the vehicle. Onlookers jumped at him, rescued him. Before they turned again, the man threw himself under an SUV, he was pulled out again.
he went into shock and started foaming at the mouth before some policemen took him to a nearby hospital.
