Former member of the house of representatives, Otunba Dino melaye accused most Nigerian pastors of being hypocrites who use the tithes and offerings of their congregation to acquire luxury.

The displeased politician also mocked the gullibility of most church goers....see more of his tweets below..

    1. Hon. Otunba, your information on the school fees structure of mission universities is incorrect. Please, endeavour to get your facts right before you thread sensitive posts on the social media. The highest school fee in Covenant university as of 2012/2013 session was N 497,000, as against your figures-N640,000 per semester. Please note that there are two semesters in a session. Peace!

  5. You want readers to drop comment but you are removing comments, is that not absurd? You also don't respond to people's counter opinion such as the comment made by Master Oluseyi Aju "Hon. I will like to know whether Master Oluseyi is correct or not. Kindly respond. And I will also appreciate it if you can re-post the deleted comments.

  6. N497,000 or N640,000 it is still beyond the common man who gave his offering and tithes for the growth and development of the church and this schools.....

  7. I equally agree with the fact that people with a humble background who remain diligent in their tithe and offering , often cannot afford the school fees for thier children. Except one or two receives a scholarship. Pastors have also become business men , been that the income being generated from the church is more than sufficient for them and their children's children of giving it back to the society they give into greed in acquiring more wealth , , people in their society are lavishing in penury. Why can't they build free schools and hand it over to the government to run. Why can't they build factories to give employment to the immediate members of the community and put the gains and proceed in supporting orphanages and Widows. Once name and legacy is of an essence, how many people will miss these ministers when they die, , what will the society say about them. No one seems to follow Jesus meekness as it was in the Bible. Pastors getting paid to preach in other churches and even getting salaries from thiers , , when God says freely I give unto you freely you give. Even the word of God to be preached in seminars or conferences, , people will even have to buy the ticket , I wonder when salvation becomes free. The world is full of vanity. I only can vouch for my personal relationship with my God. Actually met senior supposed men of God wanting to engage in fornication and adultery well because I am beautiful I guess. With such behaviour by such people who are supposed to preach the gospel, I trust no persons except my self. I still pay my tithe of about £300 a month but I am inclined to deposit it with red cross or grest ormond street hospital for children. Thank you for reading.
