Rivers state house of Assembly to be named after late speaker

Governor of River state, Rotimi Amaechi announced on Saturday that the rivers state house of assembly complex will be named after late speaker, Tonye Harry.

Amaechi said this at the late Speaker’s funeral service at Obuama in the Degema,Rivers state.He added that the aim was to immortalise the late Harry.He said Harry, who served as Deputy Speaker for eight years and Speaker for four years, was a fine gentleman and good person until his death.

Harry died on the 4th of October 2013.May his soul rest in perfect peace,amen.
