Henry Okah caught in attempted jail break

Former militant/terrorist, Mr Henry Okah was caught trying to escape from a prison in Johannesburg,  South africa.

“I can confirm that Okah is one of the five inmates that attempted to escape and whose efforts were foiled,” Manelisi Wolela, spokesman for South Africa’s department of correctional services, told AFP today.

He did not give details of the attempted jailbreak from Leeukop prison in northern Johannesburg that occurred in January this year. Okah was charged on 13 counts of terrorism, including twin bombings in abuja that claimed 12 lives on independence day, 2010.
