Naval Officer brutally Injures Police inspector with Car Key
A Naval officer is cooling his heels at a holding cell in SCID,Panti,Yaba after injuring a Police man with his car key.
The Naval man attached to Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, with service number M4351, was reportedly driving his Honda Shuttle car with number plate LSR 34 CE along Akere Street in Kirikiri when it veered off the road and rammed into a restaurant belonging to the wife of the policeman, attached to the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos. The wife of the officer and Neighbours around the area quickly confronted the man and demanded he pay for the damages he caused.it was upon this that the man identified himself as a Navy personnel.The wife of the officer quickly rushed to the Kirikiri police staion to lodge a complaint. While she was gone, her husband and the Naval were involved in a hot argument.
In the the course of the argument, the naval officer borught out his car key and poked it in the right eye of the police inspector and sped of with his car. Neighbours and passerbys gave a him a hot chase, later capturing him.The injured policeman is receiving treatment at the Lagos University teaching hospital(LUTH), Idi-Araba.
The Naval officer has been identified as Master Warrant Officer Unaji Benjamin Enejor and the policeman is Inspector Emmanuel Nbillah.
The case is currently being handled by the SCID.
