The Nigerian Army is living up to their name! The galant men of the military prevented an attack by the Boko Haram devils yesterday in the villages of Mafa and Ajiri, Borno state.
The extremist killers stormed the villages to carry out mass murder but they came face to face with what they did not expect..Fearless Soldiers guarding the village spotted them and immediately opened fire. A heavy gunbattle ensued with the Soldiers gaining the upperhand. Instead of these boko haram killers to retreat..they reinforced in numbers, firing with full force.
The Nigerian soldiers strategized and replied them with equal measure. After a long bloody battle,the men of the boko haram terror sect were successfully subdued. At the end of the day, 20 of the sect members were killed with only a few soldiers sustaining injuries.According to the Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade, several different calibers of machine guns and improvised explosive devices were seized from them. He also revealed that some soldiers were from the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri.
