President of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck jonathan, yesterday, Saturday march 8th 2014, visited the Sultan of Sokoto,Sa’ad Abubakar III.
The sulatn urged president J to put an end to the Boko Haram killings. he said;
Human life is sacred. I always express sadness over the insurgency in North East and the most worrisome of it is the killing of innocent school children in Yobe. This is the height of madness of the insurgency and the killing must be stopped immediatelyHe called on the president to do all he can to unite all political and religious leaders and all the ethnic nationalities together to tackle the insurgency. On the other hand, President Jonathan states that the purpose of the visit was to seek fatherly prayers, share ideas and experiences with the Sultan.
