Meriam ibrahim, The sudanese lady sentenced to death for converting to christianity has regained her freedom for the second time after she was arrested on tuesday. Meriam, her husband, Daniel and their children were intercepted at the khatourme airport on tuesday by officials of the National Intelligence and Security Services. She was accused of trying to use forged travel documents when she presented airport staff with emergency paperwork issued by the U.S. embassy and South Sudan.
Meriam and her family were released yesterday,Thursday and they were pictured leaving the detention facility (picture above). The 27-year-old doctor is expected to fly to South Sudan with her husband and two young children, before making her way to the U.S. to start a new life.
