A Typhoon called Rammasun has hit central phillipines killing 10 people and cutting off power supply.The typhoon also affected the capital city of manila, destroying property worth millions. Powerful winds pushed down trees and tore of roofs of schools and homes. So far, over 1000 people have been evacuated from the capital city and another 10,000 was evacuated from a city southeast of Manila.

This is barely a year since Typhoon Haiyan hit the country killing over 6,300 people. "Ramassun" is a thai name for the God of thunder. About 20 typhoons and storms lash the Phillipines each year, making it one of the world's most disaster-prone countries.
