The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has lifted its recent ban on Nigeria. The association banned Naija after a Jos High court sacked the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari and some board members.

FIFA was not pleased with the ruling and gave the Nigerian government an ultimatum to reinstate Maigari and the rest of the board. On noticing the Nigerian FG did not heed the warning, a ban was issued until Maigari and the board were reinstated.

A new court order reinstating the NFF leader and his executives was released on Tiesday July 15th prompting FIFA to lift the ban today. Maigari and his team are to resume duties immediately until elections next month where they will be properly ousted through ballot.
