Go Team Nigeria! I must say...our athletes at the ongoing commonwealth games in Glasgow are seriously making us proud. On Wednesday...Nigeria won another Gold medal in weightlifting.
Weightlifter, Maryam Usman scored a stunning 125 in snatch and 155 in clean and jerk for a total of 280, thus clinching the Gold medal at the Clyde Auditorium. Defending Champion, Ele Opeloge of Samoa won the silver medal with a total score of 271.
Nigeria is currently on top of the medal table in weightlifting.
