The US Environmental protection has classified Nanosilver as a 'pesticide' adding that it was a  known anti-bacterial used to fight mold and other bacteria. Makers of products that contain it must register and receive clearance.

 Yesterday, Nigeria's health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu announced that a drug named 'Nano-silver', which came from an unnamed Nigerian scientist, would be administered to 8 Ebola victims in lagos.The US Food and drug administration(FDA) also aired their concerns on the drug, claiming they could not find or verify any information on the treatment.
