Clara Chime is finally a free woman, the estranged wife of Enugu state governor, Sullivan Chime has been in the news for over a week now when a letter written by her to a human rights activist got leaked. In the alleged letter, Clara revealed that she was being held hostage at the state government house by her Husband.
Good news is Clara left the house on Monday,November 11th 2013. She stated that she would have left a long time ago, while the governor was still sick but held on because of compassion.Mrs. Chime thought that the sickness would change the governor’s ways towards her but he got worse months after his return from cancer treatment abroad.
According to her, on many occasions she attempted to leave but her family members insisted that she stayed put. A sibling of Clara who pleaded anonymity revealed that Sullivan had unceremoniously detained Clara because he was bothered that she could open up on certain things she knew about him if she was allowed to leave unceremoniously.
Mrs Chime regained her freedom to move around on Monday and immediately packed her luggage and left.Clara made this statements to a news correspondent via telephone,
“I am not the one who is sick, but I became sick because of the way I was treated. There are some things people would do to you that make you sick or even die.”
“After treating myself, I will never go back there again. I will not even wish my enemy to marry in that kind of place again.”
