Senior Lawyer found dead in his office

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Yahaya Mahmud was found dead in his private office yesterday evening(friday) in Kaduna.

The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained but he will be buried today according to Muslim rites.Mahmud was a lawyer to several prominent Northerners, including a former Nigerian military dictator, Ibrahim Babangida and to the present governor of Sokoto State, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko. Before his death served as the chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo State.
