A Nigerian footballer,Micheal Olaitan inexplicably collapsed on the field of play during a match between his club, Olympiakos, and their rivals Panathanaikos.
The cause of his sudden loss of consciousness has not yet been identified.No other player was close to him when he suddenly collapsed.Immediately after he slumped,medical staff of both teams rushed to him to provide first aid, then he was stretchered off.
Fortunately, 21-year-old Olaitan regained consciousness with the help of doctors and was immediately admitted to the nearby Metropolitan hospital to undergo tests.
His condition is described as stable.
