Officers of the Nigerian police force in ogun state have fired teargas at the protesting students of the Olabisi Onabanjo state University(OOU) students.

The student who were protesting for a reduction in their school fees turned violent after the police fired teargas and destroyed properties worth hundreds of thousands. The students who started the protest yesterday, Thursday august 14th, camped overnight at the Rev. Kuti secondary school, abeokuta before resuming their protest at 6:30 am this morning.(continue. photos below....)
The occupied and blocked the Presidential boulevard, a route to Gov. Amosun's office, seized a transit bus belonging to the state government and started destroying properties when the police fired teargas on them to stop the protest.

It took over a 100 riot police officers to disperse the students. a student was even shot...see his pic below....
